n-Propyl Acetate

n-Propyl acetate is a fast-evaporating solvent. Over three fourths of it is used in gravure printing inks for plastic films such as bread wrap. It also finds use as a component of fast drying adhesives, contact cements for example. Since it is an excellent solvent for nitrocellulose, n-propyl acetate is an important component of nitrocellulose lacquers used as fine furniture finishes.
